While Stutz is renowned for its racing prowess and the iconic Bearcat, the Bulldog Tourer was another notable addition to their lineup. Serving as the Bearcat’s practical counterpart, both cars shared identical mechanical components.
However, the Bulldog boasted a longer 10″ wheelbase without sacrificing performance. Its narrow, close-coupled body remained lightweight. The Bulldog’s practicality has made it a favored choice for touring, offering ample space for both luggage and passengers.
Under the Bulldog’s hood lies the same dual-valve four-cylinder engine found in the Bearcat. Notably, this Tourer is equipped with a complete set of wire wheels, a rarity among American touring cars of its time. At the rear, you’ll find a pair of twin spare tires, and the well-preserved wood dash features a full set of instruments.
