In 1957, Lancia replaced the Aurelia with their new flagship model, the Flaminia. The Flaminia was available in three body styles, namely convertible, coupé, or saloon, with Pinin Farina, Touring, and Zagato providing the bodies. The Zagato Sport was a coupé variant of the Flaminia, which had an aluminium body. However, only 344 units were produced by the carrozzeria, representing a small fraction of the 12,633 Flaminias sold.
This specific vehicle was built on 29 May 1962 and was sent to Zagato for bodying as a Sport. It was coated in Argento Auteuil and had a Pelle Rossa upholstery. It was also outfitted with a 2.5-litre V-6 engine generating 138 horsepower.
